Day 1

The last few days have been a mental blur, with not enough sleep and getting over a head cold.
I travelled to America with my son, Andrew and his family and discovered that there is at least one HUGE bonus to travelling with two small children..... fast tracking through every section at an airport. However was it enough to balance against even less sleep/ doze time? Maybe?

We landed in LA, took the bus to the hire car place and set off up the 405 in peak hour traffic with gloomy, overcast skies.

Definitely LA.

We had a short visit with Susan and Oscar. The girls enjoyed just getting out in the backyard and "playing" with their cats.
We found our Airbnb home in Valencia and our hostess, Melanie, had left lots of toys and books for the children.

Although the children were exhausted, they had a short play outside and then with with Troy and Teagan.  Andrew and Torah had a nap later on. By late that night everyone was exhausted, even the kids. I slept like a log after a very long day.
